HJH HOTEL
Speakeasy bar located in Kuala Lumpur. A game where poche is excavated from neo-platonic decomposition.
HJH HOTEL is an adaptive-reuse infill project for a new boutique hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Included in this makeover is a new façade, a portico, and additional rooftop suites and garden. Set in a neighborhood full of ornamental pastiche, the hotel attempts to engage and exceed the architectural vernacular. The new façade strikes a pose somewhere between classic stoicism and irreverent jest, flaunting fake materiality and elusive scale.
