Max Kuo is a founding partner of ALLTHATISSOLID and Design Critic at Harvard Graduate School of Design. His recent writings and designs speculate on the destabilization of representation and meaning in post-digital architecture while searching for new counterintuitive methods of form making. This exploration has been featured in such publications as Pidgin (Princeton University), Bracket (Actar), Thresholds (MIT), and Mas Context. Max was recently awarded a National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship and the Heinz Architecture Fellow at The MacDowell Colony. He has lectured at various universities in Seoul including Soongsil, Konkuk, and Korea University, and Tongji University in Shanghai. His professional experience includes working in the offices of Reiser + Umemoto, Fernando Romero Enterprise, and Lean Arch.

Prior to entering the field of architecture, Max participated in artist residency programs at the Whitney Museum, Independent Studies Program (NYC) and Red Gate Gallery Residency (Beijing). His art practice explores the socio-political behaviors characteristic of uneven developments in the metropolis. These works include collaborations with Beijing punk bands, wandering hypnosis, and other urban critical fictions.

Danielle Wagner is a founding partner of ALLTHATISSOLID and director of the Los Angeles office. She practices with degrees in both interior design and architecture, displaying a commitment towards investigating the intersection between disciplines as a way to push design strategies into uncharted territories. Her work in Los Angeles has been recognized in such venues as LA Forum for Architecture and Urban Design and the winning entry for Sunset Junction Plaza. Wagner is also founding partner and director of SOLIDBUILT, a Los Angeles based development firm which seeks to reimagine the typical revenue driven developer model through value added design solutions. Danielle sees design as a catalyst for revitalization and a tool for engaging in community building, with work that contributes to the longevity and sustainability of LA’s vibrant neighborhoods and architectural stock.
